Carlos Ancelotti has left Real Madrid at the end of the 2024 season. In his first period at Real Madrid, he had to leave the club because of a lack of major trophies. In the 2014-15 season, he managed to win the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup, but he was not able to win any of the three major trophies, including LaLiga, Copa del Rey, or Champions League. The other reasons were also part of the departure, the first reason: Real Madrid's low training hours by UEFA statistic spotlighting that caused pressure to increase workload despite player fatigue, and Gareth Bale's role was the second reason, which caused tension between them, and Club President Florentino Pérez had to intervene. As a result, the club management took it as unacceptable that he had to leave the club on 15 May 2015.

The second departure was also the same; this season was also a major trophy less for Carlos, no LaLiga, no Copa del Rey, and no Champions League. But he left the club on the most beautiful notes as he received the heart-warming farewell at Santiago Bernabeu along with the club legend, Luca Modric. He was desired to be at Real Madrid, but he had to leave as the club decided. The Club even offered him the role of lifetime ambassador, as an acknowledgment of his historic legacy of clubs' most decorated manager with 15 trophies. Club and Carlos parted their ways peacefully. And Carlos Ancelotti accepted the offer of the Brazilian National Team.

New Coach - Xabi Alonso

Xabi Alonso is back at Santiago Bernabéu for the first time as the new coach of Real Madrid on 19 Aug 2025. It was back when Xabi signed for Real Madrid with Benzema, KAKA, and Cristiano Ronaldo and left the pitch in 2017. After getting his UEFA Elite Coaching License in 2018, he joined Real Sociedad B in 2019. For the first time in 59 years, Real Sociedad B reached the second tier, and he did it with all young bloods. In 2022, he joined Bayer Leverkusen, where he made a historical record in a very short period. At the time, Leverkusen were second from bottom in the Bundesliga. In the very next season, they were Bundesliga Champions with a record of an unbeaten club to win the title in the history of the league. Also reached the UEFA Europa League final, where they lost to Atalanta. Leverkusen played 51 games unbeaten across all competitions, setting a German record.

There are a lot of expectations from Xabi Alonso, as Florentino Pérez has shown a lot of trust in him after replacing Carlos Ancelotti. The club has made the hardest decision by replacing Xabi with Carlos. But the football community and fans are hopeful when the team is in  Xabi's hands.
